About Seb
My name is John Sebastian Ospina Lopez, but I usually go by Seb.
Designer
I’m a Product Designer specializing in soft goods and apparel, with a strong passion for the outdoor industry, sports, and sustainable design practices. I believe every product has a story to tell, and that people form deep connections with the things they own. My goal is to design products that push the boundaries of innovation while being mindful of their environmental impact. In a world flooded with excess, I strive to create items that solve real problems, reduce waste, and lead long, useful lives.
To minimize my own impact as a designer, I prioritize upcycling existing materials, particularly in the prototyping phase.

Over the years, I’ve explored various creative pursuits, each influenced by my evolving interests. For a long time, I was deeply immersed in photography, where I learned the art of visual storytelling.
In the past five years, I’ve developed a passion for ceramics. The simplicity, attention to detail, and cultural significance captivated me, sparking an obsession. After refining my style for a couple of years, I launched a small side business called Seb’s Ceramics, where I sell the handmade vessels I create. Seeing someone enjoy coffee from a mug I made always brings a smile to my face.
From a very young age, I was introduced to two sports—mountain biking and trail running—and they’ve been a significant part of my life ever since. My connection to these sports has evolved over the years, along with the intensity of my involvement. Through them, I’ve had the opportunity to meet incredible people and explore some breathtaking places. These days, my athletic goals are focused on long-distance bikepacking races and adventures that let me spend days, weeks, and someday months on the bike in remote locations.
In addition, I’ve played a role in establishing the trail sport community in Bend, Oregon. For the past four years, I’ve helped build a group called the Trail Kooks, which brings together both cyclists and runners. My personal contribution is the Kook Cruise, a weekly ride that attracts over 40 riders of all skill levels, creating a space for people to connect through their shared love of cycling.
